Kevin Gray, Dallas Drinks Examiner — Golden Spirits LLC, a Dallas-based spirits company founded by Mark Golden, is unveiling city-specific bottles of its new Million Vodka, and Dallas is the first city to be featured. The Dallas-exclusive bottles of Million Vodka feature the Dallas skyline, including the easily recognizable Bank of America building and Reunion Tower.
In addition to the original vodka, Dallas bottles will also be released in a cranberry-flavored variety, which is scheduled to become available around January 1, 2010.
Million Vodka is being marketing as an ultra premium, American-made artisan vodka. It’s produced at Yahara Bay Distillery in Madison, Wisconsin, and according to Golden Spirits LLC, Million Vodka’s flavor is derived from the following product attributes:
- It uses hand-selected, 100% local American grains
- It’s produced using a meticulous quintuple distillation process and is triple filtered for smooth taste and purity
- It is handcrafted in small batches to ensure the highest quality
- It’s micro-distilled in a traditional copper pot still to produce the unique, velvety texture
Bottles of Million Vodka are available in a variety of sizes, with the 750ml bottle retailing for around $30. If you’re interested to try Million Vodka, or just want to support your city by drinking local products, you can find the vodka at several Dallas-area liquor stores, including Goody Goody on Greenville, Addison Wine & Spirits and the Dallas Fine Wine & Spirits Shoppe. It’s rolling out to more Dallas bars, restaurants and retail stores every week.
Throughout 2010, Million plans to release city-specific bottles in Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Miami, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
